Recently we spent 3 nights in Hobart, Tasmania…
and on the last night the light did this ![]()
Whilst in Hobart, a stroll among the charming Battery Point is highly recommended.
Here are some of my images from the area:
Dusk settles over the historic Salamanca Place. Famed for its Salamanca Market, this area is a thriving market every Saturday morning, and is located next to the Hobart waterfront.
Back to the waterfront…
The old…
The new…
The RV Investigator, operated by CSIRO, is the Marine National Facility for Australia, and is the only blue-water research vessel dedicated to marine research throughout Australia’s vast ocean territories.
Perhaps you will get a view of Sammy the Seal around Constitution Dock.
Nestled against the waterfront, still in Battery Point, is the historic Princes Park, including the semaphore station (signal station) built in 1818.
I hope you enjoyed a little of the abundant variety available in and around Hobart.
Cheers, 🙂
Stunning, if fleeting, colour and drama at Coledale, in the Illawarra region of NSW.
Aerial (drone) photo of wave wrapping around rocks.
Freedom and playtime on the beach.
Another splendid summer day at Coledale Beach.

A pair of Black Swans (Cygnus stratus) greet the dawn over Bribie Island and Pumicestone Passage, as seen from Golden Beach, Caloundra.
Oh to be boating (and fishing) on a tranquil summer morning such as this.
Cheers, 🙂
Launching of the Metropolitan Caloundra Surf Lifesaving Club surf boat “Uncle Pete” for some training off the magnificent Kings Beach on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland.
